in conjunction with the Service Team and Community Wardens
invite you to
along the
River Rea and Wychall
Reservoir
Friday/Saturday 21/22 September
between 10.30 and 3.30
We would very much like to continue the regular clean-up of the river, so that the site can continue to be enjoyed in a spick and span condition before the winter. The recent wet weather has washed down a lot of debris, which should now be removed.
The ‘Friends’ would like to
call on your muscle power on the Local Nature Reserve. You
will be welcome whatever your age and whatever your physical ability – there’s
plenty of jobs to be done in and around the water, always lots of litter to be
picked, and maybe some planting too. So
do please come along and ‘muck in’ with us, for as long or as short a time
as you can manage. It’s great exercise
in the fresh air, it’s fun, does not cost you anything. You will be doing your bit for the local
community!
Lunchtime refreshments at The Camp pub are
provided courtesy of the management on Friday.
Meet
at 10.30 at the main entrance to Wychall Reservoir opposite Wychall Park
Grove. Please wear stout footwear and
old clothes.
